Aurora Empowerment Systems is an active investment company, focusing on high-growth investment opportunities.
 
The Group manages its subsidiaries which operate in a wide array of sectors. Investments are actively managed through shareholders’ agreements, regular dialogue with other shareholders, directors and management of investee companies and by providing strategic input through board, audit and other committee representation. The corporate head office in Johannesburg is responsible for the Groups' centralised functions such as strategic direction, financial and risk management, marketing and communications, Group human resources and corporate social investment.
 
Aurora aims to acquire significant and strategic majority stakes in targeted businesses so as to ensure adequate empowerment representation and influence. Optimising shareholder value through maximising return on Group Equity Value is the primary goal of the Group. Our strategic focus areas of capital efficiency, earnings growth, costs and efficiencies, diversification and transformation are aimed at achieving this objective.
